When Elizabeth from GJ Design Co. reached out, I was beyond excited—her signature preppy brand style was a fun departure from my usual projects, and she’s just a gem of a person. We actually had to wait all summer to get started because Elizabeth received a grant to help fund her new website (such a win!).
Even with over 10 years of experience in marketing herself, Elizabeth chose to invest in outside expertise—someone who knew Squarespace and SEO inside and out. On our kickoff call, we reviewed competitor sites, gathered inspiration from outside her niche, and talked through layouts that would help her brand stand out.
I even shared a tiny sneak peek of the homepage during that first call, and the look on her face when she saw it was pure joy! From there, the rest of the site flowed easily. We built out her services and contact pages, added custom GIFs and icons for movement, and wove in coastal-inspired stripes, gingham patterns, and textures to keep the design warm and inviting.
This project wasn’t just about building a site. It was about celebrating how women can support other women, even when we’re in similar industries. Elizabeth’s site is now a reflection of her vibrant style and expertise, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with the world.
